Summary: June believes all art reflects who the artist is and what their social environment at a given time is. The awe inspiring environment of Lillooet cannot help but inspire the artists. The painting Universal Truth aims to reflect how we can feel at one with the world and how at a given moment in time all the disparate parts of our world connect.

General Note:

About the artist: June is a mixed media visual artist, who lives and works in Lillooet. She was born in the UK, came to Canada in 1988 and arrived in Lillooet in 2007. June graduated from Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver in 1996, having majored in sculpture and painting. Recently she has been working in cold was and encaustic which are mediums that tend to bridge the gap between sculpture and painting. Some of her works have been published in UK "Murze Magazine".
